Augment Code is a coding platform built around its Context Engine, Auggie CLI, IDE clients, and Cosmos automation environment. It can analyze repositories, propose and apply code changes, and execute development tools. It is relevant to teams that need help with an existing codebase or want to connect coding work to repeatable workflows. Repository context is a product capability, not proof that every answer is complete or correct.
Workflow
For terminal work, install Auggie on a system with Node 20 or later, sign in, and start it in the project directory. The documented setup indexes the project automatically. Give it a scoped task and describe the checks that must pass. Review the files and commands involved before accepting changes. Cosmos adds triggers and specialized agents for automation. Confirm the repositories, external services, and permissions an automation can access before scheduling it.
Costs and limits
As checked on October 23, 2026, Standard costs $20 per month and includes up to 50 seats with $20 of monthly usage. Business costs $100 per month with up to 50 seats and $100 of usage. Those allowances cover LLM, Context Engine, and compute consumption; they are not unlimited messages or inference. Top-ups are pay as you go. Enterprise terms are custom. This listing does not claim an ongoing free community tier or a guaranteed trial, and older per-developer prices should not be used to budget a new account.
For Cosmos and Auggie CLI, token billing adds a 40% service fee to model API list prices. Cosmos cloud compute costs $0.19 per hour in rounded-up five-minute increments. These components use the same balance.
